Regional Exec director, Lanson Place and Director of Corporate Development, Wing Tai Properties
Karen has helped to establish two divisions for Wing Tai Asia Group in Hong Kong - hospitality investment under the brand of Lanson Place and the residential development division of Wing Tai Properties. She has been responsible for the Group’s corporate branding and hospitality projects ever since.
The Lanson Place brand has grown steadily since it was established in 1995 to provide homes for expatriates working in Asia. Lanson now has 10 serviced apartment properties and 1 boutique hotel throughout Asia (Hong Kong, Shanghai, Chengdu, Melbourne, Manila, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur). Lanson Place will continue to grow in China and gateway cities in SE Asia. Since hospitality is a people business, helping to develop the service leadership in young people has been her calling and her volunteering work includes coaching young leaders at Invotech and OASA.
Previously, she has been associated with Wharf Hotels Investment Limited (H.K.) and Hilton Hotels Corporation (Beverly Hills, U.S.A.) in setting up their flagship projects.
She holds a BBA degree with distinction in Hotels and Tourism Management from University of Hawaii and an MBA degree in Finance and International Business from George Washington University, Washington, D.C.
